Day 75 - March 27, 2009

They left today :(. We all packed up and went down and got dinner at the Bakery at Coronado. While we were eating breakfast we saw a baby alligator in the lake outside. It was cool! After breakfast they left :( and I had to go to work....Then I went home and relaxed...

Day 74 - March 26, 2009

I had to work today so mama drove me. I had to be there from 8-4:30. While I was at work they went to Downtown Disney and the Pool. We had tickets for Cirque du Soliel at 6 so we went to Downtown Disney as soon as I got off. The show was AMAZING and everyone really enjoyed it. After the show we ate dinner at Raglan Road....again. Then we went to sleep.

Day 73 - March 25, 2009

MAGIC KINGDOM. There were no extra magic hours this morning so we got to sleep in a little bit. We were still at the park really early. First and foremost we went and got fastpasses for Space Mountain. Then we got cream cheese pretzels for breakfast, yumm. Me and Trish rode Buzz Lightyear while mom and Aunt Carolyn were still eating. They witnessed a little girl get so angry she crumbled her muffin...anyways. We watched the Laugh Floor and they used my joke! "Whats the best time to go to the dentist?? TOOTH-HURTY!!" It was exciting. Next we went to Adventureland and rode the Jungle Cruise! They all thought that was funny. Next on the list was Pirates of the Caribbean. Thats always a favorite. Then we ate Tacos for lunch and they were really good. We then went on Splash Mountain where none of us really got wet, and then we rode Big Thunder Mountain. By the way, Mama was terrified on EVERY ride we went on, no matter what it was. Then we went on the Haunted Mansion, followed by Space Mountain. By this time it was only 2 o'clock so we headed to Hollywood Studios. The wait for Tower of Terror said it was 70 minutes but it only took 15! Patricia was absolutely terrified and mama and Aunt Carolyn didnt go. It was funny. She was shaking she was so scared. After that we went and got in line for Rock'n'Rollercoaster which only took 30 minutes, not 90.... Mama's face was so priceless on that ride we had to buy the picture. After those 2 rides we left Disney World and ate dinner at Maccaroni Grill. After dinner we headed back to Hollywood to watch Fantasmic which was PACKED. We literally got the last seats and we were there over an hour early. Ridiculous. They all really enjoyed the show though. Then it was bedtime. We were all exhausted every night.

Day 72 - March 24, 2009

We woke up early once again and went to EPCOT. We got there for extra magic hours and went straight to Soarin' and got fastpasses. We then went and rode TestTrack which was fun. Mama and Aunt Carolyn had to skip a bunch of people to catch up with me and Trish haha. It was fun. After that we waited in a really long line to see Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald. At least we got all the pictures taken care of at once. After that really long line we went and rode Soarin' which they thought was really cool (and it is). I would never wait 2 hours for it though.... By the time we finished all that it was lunch time, so we ate lunch at The Land. After lunch we did the "Living with the Land" ride which is really cool. It shows how they grow the produce they use in EPCOT. Really interesting and informative. After we did that we headed to the World Showcase where we spent most of the day. We started in Canada and ended up in Mexico at somepoint haha. We watch the circleovision movie 'O Canada' which was really cool and made me want to go to Canada. We walked around Great Britain, watched the movie in France, saw the movie in China, rode the ride in Mexico, rode Maelstrom in Norway and watched their movie....Basically we did everything possible in the World Showcase..... I was tired at the end of that day. We walked ALOT. We ate dinner at the BierGarten in Germany. It was a buffet with entertainment. It was good food and neat. They played music. After dinner we went to Italy to wait on the fireworks. After the fireworks we went back to the hotel.

Day 71 - March 23, 2009

We woke up bright and early to go to Animal Kingdom for Extra Magic Hours! We got there right about when it was opening, got their tickets and started to have fun. Mama, Aunt Carolyn, nor Trish had ever been to Animal Kingdom so they were pretty excited. We took pictures in front of the tree of life then went to get fast passes for Expedition Everest. We got the passes and then realized it was a really short wait (10 minutes) so we should just go ahead and ride. All 4 of us rode it...which is pretty impressive if you ask me. Mama was terrified but it was hilarious. Aunt Carolyn enjoyed it too. After Everest we went and rode the safari. They all thought that was really cool and we got to see quite a few animals. It was fun. After the safari, me and Trish went and rode Everest again while Mama and Aunt Carolyn just walked around a bit. We met back up with them and watched the Mother Nature stilt walker person lady haha. Next we went and got pictures with Tigger, Pooh, and Eeyore! After that we headed to go watch the Finding Nemo musical which was actually really good. I was impressed. We ate lunch at the barbecue place in DinoLand and that was really yummy too. Then we rode Dinosaur...I forgot how bumpy it was and I thought one of us was going to puke...but we didnt haha. Also at some point that day we watched the 3-D show "It's Tough to be a Bug" which they also enjoyed. On the way out of the park Patricia and I got caricatures!! They are really cute. After we finished Animal Kingdom we headed to Hollywood Studios which was PACKED. We couldnt ride anything. We saw Indiana Jones and Beauty and the Beast and then headed to Magic Kingdom for dinner and fireworks. We ate dinner at Cosmic Rays in Tommorowland then went and rode "Its a Small World" and the Teacups because there werent any lines. Then we started heading to the exit so we could watch the fireworks and leave. Then we got on the monorail and headed back to Hollywood Studios, where the car was. We were supposed to do extra magic hours there too, but Patricia was in a bad mood and everyone was tired so we left.

Day 70 - March 22, 2009

I had another 8-2 shift and then I went home, showered, got dressed and waited for Mama to call and say they were here. I met them at the hotel where I got to open my birthday presents early :). I got a new camera, some really cute dresses and a top, some really nice jewelry, and some cookbooks! It was a wonderful birthday. After the presents were opened we headed to Downtown Disney where we went to eat at Raglan Road with Roxy, Me, Mama, Aunt Carolyn, and Trish. They really liked the restaurant. Afterwards we walked around downtown disney where they discovered the soap store. We stayed in there forever haha. Then we went back to the hotel and went to sleep because we had to wake up early for the next morning!

Day 69 - March 21, 2009

Of course I worked at Tomorrowland again from 8-2. Its a nice shift so I shouldnt complain so much. After work I came home and packed for Mama's visit and made doggy cupcakes :) they looked like little Westies. I was proud of them.

Day 68 - March 20, 2009

Today I worked from 8-2 at Tomorrowland again...but after work I met my friend Holly at Epcot where we went to see the Flower and Garden Festival. The flowers were really cool of course, but seeing a Davy Jones concert was pretty darn cool! Roxy met us after the show and we ate Chinese food. Holly had to leave so me and Roxy left also. Later that night we went and saw I Love You, Man which was really funny.

Day 67 - March 19, 2009

The fun is over for now...back to work. I worked from 8-4:30 at of course Tomorrowland. After work I napped and tried to recover from the previous couple days.

Day 66 - March 18, 2009

This morning I woke up early and headed to the beach. It took twice as long to get there as it should have.....but thats ok. I missed the rain and that was a good thing. We went with Jon's brother Josh and his family for a walk down the beach and that was nice, although it did make my ankle sore. After the beach walk, we ate a sandwich at their condo and then headed to the Oceanographic Society to feed stingrays which was a little intimidating but fun! After we finished all of that, we went down to the pool and swam for a while until dinner where we went to a seafood place that was really good.

Day 65 - March 17, 2009

Today we woke up and went to hang out by the pool and hot tub for a while, which we also did the night before I just forgot the mention it. After pool, we checked out of the hotel and headed to Downtown Disney where we ate at the Earl of Sandwich and took silly pictures around. Then Pierre and Leah headed off to Destin and Jon and I went to play puttputt at the Winter Summerland miniature golf course. I got 2 hole in ones and Jon only got 1. I beat him :). After an afternoon of puttputt we headed to Downtown Disney to walk around, hang out, and eat dinner. We ate at the House of Blues and it was yummy. After dinner Jon headed to the Beach were I would meet him the next day.

Day 64 - March 16, 2009

Today I had another doctor's appointment in the morning, so Jon and I went to that while Leah and Pierre went for a run. The doctor took about 20 minutes which was good, I didnt want to have to wait all day. He told me I needed physical therapy. Then we went back and picked up the other 2 and headed to Magic Kingdom! First stop was the Chapeau because Leah and Pierre wanted their ears with their names on them! They totally messed up Pierre's....very, very crooked and they told him they wouldnt fix it. I would have complained but me and Jon were running to get fast passes at Space Mountain, which had all been given out for the day. After all that we headed to Adventureland where we went to the Tiki Room. Next we went to Pirates of the Caribbean. There was a pretty long wait so we ate our sandwiches which were delicious. We finally got on the ride and everyone enjoyed it. While leaving Adventureland, this guy ran into my achilles heel with his stupid stroller. It peeled back skin, bruised instantly, and HURT. Oh well. We made our way to Splash Mountain where we waited in a rather long line. Good thing I had fastpasses for Big Thunder Mountain immediately aftewards. We had alot of fun on splash mountain, where again....Leah and Pierre got wet. It was really funny. Then to dry off we rode Big Thunder Mountain. After Frontierland we went to Liberty Square where we rode the Steamboat, mainly to just rest for a few minutes. Then we stood in line for the Haunted Mansion where a really stupid lady accused us of skipping her....she was dumb. It was funny. They all thought Haunted Mansion was cool. Then we went over to Fantasyland where we saw the Mad Hatter! We took a picture with him and then went to ToonTown to see Minnie and Mickey's houses. The last thing of the day was It's a Small World which I tricked them into going on haha. After we finished everything, except for Space Mountain which never had a shorter line than 2 hours, we went to Giordonno's Pizza for dinner. Leah and I got balloon hats! We just relaxed and ate pizza, all of us exhausted. Then we went to the hotel and crashed again.

Day 63 - March 15, 2009

First day at the parks!! Woohoo! So we woke up the next morning and realized Leah and Pierre were still asleep. Turns out, the never got off of central time haha. We woke them up and we all ate breakfast and packed our sandwiches for the day. We went to Animal Kingdom first and immediately got fastpasses for Everest. Then we went and watched the 3d show It's Tough to be a Bug which everyone thouroughly enjoyed. After the show we went to ride Roxy's safari! We got thru the line quickly, ate our sandwiches, then waited for Roxy's truck to arrive. We saw so many animals that day. Hippos, bongos, giraffes, cheetas, flamingos, ocapi cattle, rhinos of 2 varieties, lots of elephants! It was alot of fun! After the safari we went and looked at the gorillias and saw them fighting!! It was really scarry but cool at the same time! They were running and grunting and it was amazing. Next we went on Kali River Rapids where Leah and Pierre were absolutely soaked. It was funny how wet they got. To dry off, we went on Expedition Everest which everyone enjoyed. We all had alot of fun. After all that we went and watched the Festival of the Lion King! It was cool, but a little long. After doing all that at Animal Kingdom, which was alot!, we headed to Hollywood Studios. It just so happened that my roommate Courtney was standing outside of Tower of Terror and gave us fast passes to Rock'n'rollercoaster! So we rode that and everyone said it was their favorite ride! Next we went over to Tower, but Courtney went on a break....but luckily out of thin air, this guy handed Jon 4 fastpasses!! So we didnt have to wait in line for EITHER ride!! It was amazing!! Those were the only 2 things we wanted to do at Hollywood Studios so we decided to head to Epcot! Right after we walked thru the gate a photopass guy told us that the shuttle launch was in 23 minutes!! We had NO idea!! So we headed over to the attraction Mission:Space and sat on a grassy hill and waited for the shuttle launch. It was REALLY cool. You could even hear the shuttle!!! It was amazing to see the trail over the ride. We took lots of pictures. Right after we saw the boosters separate and couldnt see anything else of the shuttle, we rode the ride! We got to feel a fraction of what it felt like! AMAZING!! That was Pierre's favorite part of the trip I think. After we finished all of that we walked to China and ate dinner, which was REALLY good. Right as we finished our meal, the fireworks started! We had a wonderful, serendipitous Disney Day! After we finished Disney for the day we had to go to Walmart to pick up more lunch supplies then we went to bed.

Day 62 - March 14, 2009

Today I worked at Pirates of the Caribbean again from 10-5:30. Jon was supposed to get here around 5 and I met them after work at the hotel. I got there and we all hung out by the pool for a while before we decided to go change for dinner. We went to Downtown Disney for dinner, forgetting it was a Saturday. We had to wait a little while for our dinner, but we ended up eating at Wolfgang Puck's which was REALLY good. I was impressed. I will definitely go back there. We went to bed early because we have a big day tomorrow!

Day 61 - March 13, 2009

Friday the 13th! I dont believe in those superstitions so it didnt bother me 1 bit. I worked from 10-5:30 at Pirates of the Caribbean. I dont mind it so much here. Its funny because where I take my break, I see the Jack Sparrow character walk by occasionally. He really does look JUST like Johnny Depp. It was pretty cool. After I got off dinner I cleaned my room and packed for Jon, Leah, and Pierre's visit. We were going to have an apartment inspection while they were in town so I prepared for that tonight, then went to bed. 1 more day of work until Jon, Leah, and Pierre are here!

Day 60 - March 12, 2009

Today I worked a long shift, from 8-4:30 at Tomorrowland. We all know how much I hate Tomorrowland. It was the same old thing, hanging clothes and ink tagging hats by myself. Oh well. Ive learned that they dont care how long I take my break for....so I take longer breaks than I should but who cares. I do more work than some of the people that actually work there. I also had to go by Coronado Springs for Mama and Aunt Carolyn because they come next week! For dinner I went to Downtown Disney with Roxy and her aunt and cousins and we ate at the Earl of Sandwhich which is DELICIOUS. It is actually run by the family of the first Earl of Sandwhich who invented the sandwhich. Man they are good and only $5.75! Yummy! After dinner we walked around a bit and a DJ was giving dance lessons and we all looked goofy and tried to learn "Thriller". It was alot of fun :)

Day 59 - March 11, 2009

Today was a boring work day. I worked from 10-4 at Toontown. Today I had a friend however, a squirrel!! A mama squirrel had babies in the "cage" (a storage area that consists of a chainlink fence and a roof) and I saw her multiple times that day. It was funny to watch her, she was so cute. But thats all I have to report from March 11. My ankle still hurts.

Day 58 - March 10, 2009

So I havent updated in a while, but have no fear! I wrote things down! So today I was off of work so I woke up and went with Roxy to Epcot to meet her aunt and cousins. We ate lunch in Mexico and it was yummy! Enchiladas with tomatillo sauce :). We mainly walked around the world showcase, not doing much of anything. We rode the ride in Mexico, but I think that was the only ride we did that day. It was really hot that day and really sunny so we only stayed a couple of hours. I did however relive a childhood moment today. I bought a sno-cone in Japan and ate it in front of the Japanese pavillion just like I did when I was little at Disney World. It was the same flavor and everything :) honeydew melon!

Day 57 - March 8, 2009

Off of work yahoo.  Although I didnt do anything to interesting.  Oh and I lied earlier..I made those cupcakes on the 6th...and I only made 12.  Anyways.  I woke up late because of daylight savings time.  When I did wake up around 10 I did my laundry and waited by the pool for it to finish.  I did get a tad bit pink but nothing terrible.  Later Maggie had to run some errands so I tagged along.  We went to Animal Kingdom costuming and Coronado Springs so that she could show her ID.  Then we went to publix and got stuff to make cupcakes.  This time I made them look like mashed potatoes.  Also way cool.  Later Maggie and I went to dinner with her brother Nathan at Red Lobster.  After dinner we went to the Virgin Megastore and looked around.  We got home and I was lazy and did absolutely nothing.

Day 56 - March 7, 2009

Today I worked from 10-6:30.  Blah.  I was supposed to do towels so I took several different books....but of course it was too good to be true.  I ended up not doing towels and working at the Emporium and hanging up princess costumes. I was covered in glitter by the time I was finished.  After work I came home and me, Maggie, and Roxy went to Walmart and I got stuff to make cupcakes.  I decorated them to look like Van Gough's Starry, Starry Night.  They were way cool.

Day 55 - March 6, 2009

Today I worked at ToonTown again.  I met this really nice girl who was about my age who is a full timer.  She talked to me and she was very interesting.  She moved to Florida the day after she graduated high school from Oregon.  She had zero work experience so she couldnt get hired by Disney but she bugged them everyday for 2 weeks until they did.  She also was paying for herself to go to school.  After being in Florida for a while she started dating this guy who was abusive.  She was putting up with that when she met a guy at work who helped her get out of that relationship.  They end up dating and she gets pregnant.  Keep in mind she is only 19 or 20 at this point.  They decided to get married and she had the baby.  So now she is a full time student, full time Disney employee, and full time mom.  So anytime I think something sucks and is hard, I'm going to think about all that she has had to deal with.  Oh did I mention that she was an adopted child? Crazy.  Anyways.  I helped her box up clothes and I then hung up clothes.  Apparently I did a really good job because I got a Great Service Fanatic card which is the opposite of a reprimand thingy.  So that was cool.  I didnt do anything after work.

Day 54 - March 5, 2009

Today I worked in Tomorrow Land and I did not like it.  The people didnt tell me where the bathroom was, where the break room was, or what to do.  So basically I just decided that clothes needed to be hung so I did...I had to ask people where the bathroom was...it was actually very far and hard to find..as was the break room  I pretty much was counting down the minutes until it was time to go.  After work I decided I wanted to go and see Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios.  I couldnt find anyone to go with me but I decided last minute that I would go by myself.  I ended up getting there right around the time it was starting so I had to stand :(  but the show was really good.  Its more of a theater thing with pyrotechnics as opposed to a fireworks show.  But i really enjoyed it.  Then I came home and went to bed.  I'm boring.

Day 53 - March 4, 2009

I worked from 9-3 today and I worked at ToonTown hanging clothes.  That always keeps me pretty busy so I dont mind it very much.  Nothing really happened at work, I just drove there and back, relaxed for a while and then Roxy and I went to Magic Kingdom.  My ankle was hurting pretty bad that day even though I had my crutches so we went to go rent a wheelchair and they gave it to us for FREE :)  It was alot of fun.  We ate a hamburger at Pecos Bill's Tall Tale Cafe and then went on the Jungle Cruise.  We didnt stay long because we were both kinda tired and it was getting late at that point and people are NOT nice to people in wheelchairs.  We were going to stay and watch SpectroMagic, the light parade, but we couldnt get anywhere in a wheelchair so we just left.

Day 52 - March 3, 2009

I slept until like 9:30 or 10 today because I was off.  I got up, showered, and dressed, and none of my roommates were awake.  So I just read or watched tv or something.  Once they woke up we decided to go to the Animal Kingdom to ride Roxy's safari.  We took the bus to Animal Kingdom and then practically ran to safari's because we wanted to make sure we got to ride hers.  We got there and asked for her, waited...and waited...and finally we got to go on it.  This was like the 4th time I had tried to ride hers so I was glad it finally happened.  She was really good.  We got to sit in the front row and we kept trying to mess with her but she wouldnt laugh.  It was alot of fun.  After that was over Maggie and I went to ride Expedition Everest while Crystal and Brittany watched the parade.  We ended up riding Everest twice.  We got to sit on the very front row and it was SO much fun.  If you are gonna go on that ride you must go on the front.  After we went on that twice, Crystal and Brittany went off on there own and Maggie and I went home because we were tired or just didnt want to be there anymore.  Afterwards we went to eat at Maccaroni Grill and it was good :).

Day 51 - March 2, 2009

I was off of work today but I had a dr's appointment. Roxy was supposed to get off of work early, so I went to Animal Kingdom to pick her up and I waited...and waited...and called..and called....and then I got a call back to say that she wasnt going to be finished for another 2 hours.... This was at about 12:20. My dr's appointment wasnt until 2:30. Regardless I went to my appointment WAY early. I had to wait until about 2 when I got the good news that I DO NOT have to have surgery!! Woohoo. When my appointment was over I went to go pick Roxy up a second time and then we went to Epcot. We got an ice cream cone from Edy's and went on Test Track, saw Honey I Shrunk the Audience, then did Mission:Space. Mission:Space did us in so we left after that. We didnt even go to the World Showcase. Then we came home and I cooked fried chicken, corn, zucchini, and mashed potatoes and turnips. It was delicious. Then we passed out and went to bed too early.

Day 50 - March 1, 2009

I had to be at work at 9. I drove to Magic Kingdom, got on the bus, walked down the tunnel with my crutches, clocked in....then I proceeded to find out that I had to go to Downtown Disney.....did I mention that Downtown Disney is 2 minutes from my apartment whereas MK is 20 minutes?? So I went to Downtown Disney and took toys out of plastic for about 2 hours, then I took my lunch break. After I had been on break for about 5 minutes, a lady comes in and tells me that I have to go back to MK. So I finish my break and go to MK, take the bus, walk down the tunnel, and go wash towels for the rest of the day. Basically I put towels in the washer/dryer and sit and read until they are done. It was actually awesome. I got to read alot of my book :). Then I left work and went to Publix where I left my wallet in the cart..Luckily some really nice people turned it in with everything in tact. I came home then left and ate pizza at Giordano's. Now I'm here updating this.

Day 49 February 28, 2009

I had to be at work at 10 which was kinda nice. I had to roll pirate scrolls ALL DAY LONG.....it was a boring day to say the least. I did 222 pirate scrolls. I could have done more but I didnt feel like it. I just sat there killing time towards the end. I was bored. After work I drove home and met Roxy and we went to the Magic Kingdom where I got a FREE wheelchair. I was pretty embarassed but I really needed it because my ankle was killing me even with crutches. We went to eat a hamburger and them we met up with Abby who had to leave because she lost her id (then later found it). We only did 1 thing...it was kind of a waste of time going but thats ok. We did the Jungle Cruise at night which was pretty cool. Then we were planning on watching Spectromagic parade but people wouldnt let us maneuver with the wheelchair. So we just left. Came home and I read then slept, exciting I know.

Day 48 - February 27, 2009

I had to be at work at 9. I got to work in the modified duty work room. woohoo.. I got to stuff envelopes with "Eyes and Ears" which is a magazine/newspaper type publication that comes out once every 2 weeks. Apparently we mail these to other people in the company like in California, even though it is about Walt Disney World. These are very large oversized publications and I had to stuff them in interoffice envelopes and put lables on them. It was pretty monotonous but not too terrible. I got off of work at like 3 and then came home. My MRI was scheduled for 7 and I was supposed to be there by 6:30. Roxy went with me to the hospital. It was the most ridiculous hospital ever. The imaging department was made to look like a beach. The floor was made to look like a boardwalk, the walls were painted like the ocean, it smelled like suntan lotion, they play sounds of seagulls, whales, tugboats, and ocean noises. It was ridiculous. The MRI machine looked like a giant sandcastle. By the way MRI's are not fun. You cant move, you cant sleep, the noises it makes are very loud and annoying, and it lasts 45 minutes. Ughh.

Day 47 - February 26, 2009

Another day of work....early.. I had to be there by 7:15 which means I had to leave here by 6:20. Oh well. I started out the day by rolling pirate scrolls. I had to take pieces of paper, roll them up, and then tied it with a piece of string.......I am much to intelligent to roll pirate scrolls. Thankfully I was transferred to the Pirates of the Carribbean attraction where I hung clothes like yesterday. I got off at around 1:10 and I then had to go to the doctors. I found out that I probably tore a ligament in my ankle and I have to go in for an MRI tomorrow evening. I am not looking forward to that. After the doctors I changed in the car again and met Courtney and Roxy at Hollywood Studios. They brought my crutches for me since I hadnt taken them to work. We went on Star Tours which I hadnt done before. Its a simulator thing that is entertaining. Next we went to the Tower of Terror where Courtney works and we got to skip the lines twice. It was alot of fun. Then we went to Rock'n'rollercoaster woohoo. That was all we did before we left. My ankle was hurting so we left and came home. I then took a 3 hour nap on accident. Oh well.

Day 46 - February 25, 2009

I had to work today. I actually worked at the Emporium as a light duty person. Basically I hung clothes all day. Nothing too exciting, nothing too boring. I accidently told them I was off at 3:45 and was actually off at 4....so I hid in the bathroom for 15 minutes. Oh well no big deal :). After I got off work I went to my car, changed, went back to the tunnel, and then met up with Roxy, Maggie, and Brittany. We rode Space Mountain, watched Philharmagic, then met up with our friend Kevin. After that we went back to Space Mountain to get fast passes for later and then rode Big Thunder Mountain, Haunted Mansion, then back to Space Mountain. Roxy tormented Maggie who is scared of birds by running up to her and making seagull noises while Brittany taped it on her phone haha it was funny. After all that was done the girls went to Olive Garden to eat dinner and it was yummy! I got the shrimp mezzaluna thing that is always on the commercials but its not as good as the Shrimp Caprese. Oh well you live and learn. We then went home and I of course went to bed early....I'm always first to go to bed but if I dont sleep like a normal person I get exhausted.

Day 45 - February 24, 2009

Ok so everything that I just said happened yesterday, actually happened after my class TODAY. I did nothing yesterday. Another day off woohoo. This time I had class in the morning at 8. It was entertaining and I had a few things to catch up on since I was sick last week and couldnt go to class. And now refer to February 23......

Day 44 - February 23, 2009

I had today off today which was nice to sleep in. After lunch I went to Hollywood Studios with Maggie (roommate from Kansas), Brittany (other roommate from Kansas), Nate (Maggie's older brother), and Brittney (this weird girl who didnt stay very long). We did a few things that afternoon. We went to Rock'n'rollercoaster, the Tower of Terror, watched Beauty and the Beast (which I'm not a huge fan of), rode the Great Movie Ride and I think thats about it. We took our time and then left and went to Magic Kingdom (sans weirdo Brittney). While there we ate at the hotdog stand Casey's and I learned that I am not a huge fan of hotdogs....oh well. We rode Space Mountain, watched Philharmagic, did the Carousel of Progress, went on the most horrible attraction at Disney World (Stich's Great Escape). It was pointless and gross. After that we got some hot chocolate and found a seat and waited almost an hour for the fireworks haha. That was the first time I had watched them from start to finish. Pretty cool. Afterwards we went home and I went to sleep early.

Day 43 - February 22, 2009

I had to be at the Modified Work office at 9 so I had to leave the house before 8, pick up a modified work costume at costuming (really ugly blue pants and a khaki shirt), and catch the bus to Magic Kingdom then wobble all the way down the tunnel with my crutches. I had to fill out some paper work and then I had to go start my work day at Downtown Disney doing Pin replenishment. Basically I sat in a room all day by myself until some cast member came in to switch out pins. I probably saw 6 people all day. It was so boring. I got off at 5:30 then came home, rested for a while, and then went to Abby's apartment to eat fajitas. Then we came home and I took some nyquil because I am still sick (uuugggghhhh) and slept. So between sickness and sprained ankles, thats why I havent been posting.

Day 42 - February 21, 2009

I had work at 1:15 today so I left at about noon. I was early but oh well. I go to the break room and ate my chef boyardee and then proceeded to go to work. I went upstairs and clocked in, got a cup of water, and decided to go replenish my pins and get some new ones. I was walking down the stairs and then BAM! I fell and thought I broke my ankle. I yelled for help and these people came and called for the paramedics. The paramedics and 1 of my managers came they wrapped my ankle in gauze and an ice pack and then I went to health services for xrays. It was the worst day ever. Anyways its not broken, just sprained, but I do have crutches. Oh yeah and I'm still a little sick. Florida is fabulous.....

Day 40 - February 19, 2009

I was supposed to go to work today, but I woke up with fever, so I called in sick again. It was not too fun of a day. I rested alot. I guess I over did it yesterday but oh well.

I had to go to work while coughing my brains out. It wasnt horrible, I did registers all day. I did have a few coughing fits and I would have to run to the back for water but I didnt feel too terrible which was good. After work I went to sleep.

Day 38 - February 17, 2009

I was supposed to have class today but I was sick....again... I slept all day again, but at night I went to see Confessions of a Shopaholic with Roxy. It was cute but very different from the books. I went back to the apartment and crashed again....still very sick

Day 37 - February 16, 2009

I had to wake up very early this morning to take Jon to the airport. I woke up with fever. Needless to say he drove himself to the airport while I napped in the passenger's seat. We said goodbye and I drove back home then crashed in my bed. I was supposed to work but I could barely move so I called in sick and slept ALL day. I had fever most of the day as well. Basically I was sick as a dog all day.

Day 36 - February 15, 2009

I woke up sick again :(. Fever and really bad coughing. But anyways Jon and I woke up early and went to Magic Kingdom about 9:30 while his parents and grandmother were still at the hotel. We went and rode the Tea Cups and it was fun. After the Tea Cups we went to the Haunted Mansion. We had to wait in line for a while because someone got sick or something on the ride and the paramedics had to come. But after all the waiting we got right in. The Haunted Mansion is always fun. We had to meet Jon's family at 12:30 so while we were waiting, we stopped to watch the new street party parade called "Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It!" It was so stupid, but at least i've seen it now. We left kind of in the middle of it and we all ate at Casey's Hotdog stand. I'm not big on hot dogs but it was fine. Right after that we went to Mickey's Philharmagic Orchestra which is a 3-d movie experience that is SOO much fun. After all that Jon and I went on Space Mountain and his parents and grandmother went to It's A Small World. Jon really enjoyed Space Mountain. He didnt know it was all in the dark. So that was alot of fun. We then went and met up with his parents and his grandmother was tired so they went back to the hotel. Jon and I went to the Emporium to see who was working and then decided that we would go to Hollywood Studios. This whole time I have been sick, and it caught up with me so we went back to the hotel until dinner. I took a nap and I guess Jon watched tv or something. He made me lots of tea over the course of the weekend. We ended up going to dinner at Jiko's which is like a 5 star restaurant at Animal Kingdom Lodge that was VERY good. We had flatbread with olives and goat cheese for starter and then I ordered lamb loin, Jon ordered African Curry which was also good, his grandmother ordered pork loin, his dad ate sturgeon, and his mom had stuffed peppers and sweet potatoe soup. We also got dessert since it was the last meal. Jon and I shared chocolate cheesecake with lavender ice cream. It was delicious. After the meal we went to bed.

Day 35 - February 14, 2009

Happy Valentines Day! I am still sick. But Jon got me a tshirt and a baseball cap that I could wear all day! We went to the Animal Kingdom today. We went straight to Kilamanjaro Safari's and stood in line for about 30 minutes. We tried to get on Roxy's but it didnt work out. The girl who led ours did a good job so it was ok. We saw lions, elephants, rhinos and all sorts of other things. It was alot of fun. After it was over Jon and I went to Asia to ride Expedition Everest and his parents and Grandmother went on the safari again. The regular line for the ride was way too long so we went in single rider and didnt get to sit together :(. He said he enjoyed it though. I tried to videotape it but it was hard at times. We then met back up with them and ended up having lunch at the Rainforrest Cafe. I think I only ate about 2 bites but it was good. We then went back to the hotel to rest because everyone was tired and I felt bad. We had to get ready for Blue Man Group. His parents and grandmother went to Cirque du Soliel. They said it was awesome. Blue Man Group was good but I think they had been hyped up too much. Getting to Universal was awful and I will not get into that. Then we went to Walgreens and got me some medicine

Day 34 - February 13, 2009

I woke up early today because I was to meet Jon's mother and father for breakfast. I woke up feeling sick :( but I went ahead and met them at Coronado Springs and we ate muffins for breakfast that were very good. After finishing our breakfast we drove to Epcot and the Disney adventure began. The very first thing we did was to go and get fast passes for Soarin' for later on in the day. Its like an IMAX ride thingy that feels like you are parasailing....very cool. After that we went to The Seas with Nemo and friends and Mrs. Chris really liked the scenery in there. We hung out at the aquarium for quite a while. After that we went to this really stupid ride that had no line, I now know why....It's called Imagination with Figment....totally a waste of time. Disney should replace that one. Horrible. After that stupid ride we went over to the world showcase and looked around Canada for a while, which I hadnt done before. It was kinda cool actually. Then we headed on to the UK where we ate fish n chips and Mrs. Chris bought some earrings. Also while in the UK we saw Alice in Wonderland and Mary Poppins! Shortly after that we headed back to the Animal Kingdom lodge where Jon's grandmother was meeting us for the weekend. We got to the hotel, checked in, and found out that his grandmother arrived early and was already in her hotel room. We got back to the rooms and I was feeling really crummy at this point which was not good since I was supposed to pick Jon up from the airport. It ended up that Jon's dad had to drive me to the airport because I was so sick :(. We finally got Jon then went back to the hotel only to leave and go to dinner in France. I only liked the bread in France. They sent us out an amusebuche which is a tiny appetizer that is supposed to "tickle your tongue". It was shrimp with these nasty mousses. I wasnt a fan. Then our meals came. I ordered soup because I felt so crappy. It was a saffron mussel soup or something and I ate about 2 bites of it. Nasty. Jon ordered lamb and that was good. After dinner we went down to the Patisserie and got some dessert. I again didnt eat mine because I felt bad :(. After that we went to the hotels and went to sleep.

Day 33 - February 12, 2009

Roxy and I woke up early because she wanted to go to the mall. Its a very fancy mall and we only stayed a little while before we went to Magic Kingdom because today was the last day for our 50% discount. Now it goes back to 20%. I got some Mickey Ears with my name on the back, a purse, and a journal thingy I had been wanting. We also ate at Pinocchio's Village Haus which is just quick service but it was pretty good pizza. After that I had to work :(. I had to stock keychains and magnets and the store was CRAZY because of all the castmembers shopping. They wrecked the store and everyone had to stay later than we were scheduled. Cute side note: I was talking to this little boy while giving him a sticker and asked what his name was and he said Collin and he was 4, then I asked him where he was from and he said "Heaven" and it was the cutest thing ever so I gave him 2 stickers. I also talked to this adorable British boy named Oliver who was also 4. Anyways after I got off work at 11:15 I had one of the bags of new stuff I bought. Little did I realize Roxy left with the receipts and the security guard was a jerk. He said I could not leave the bus stop until she came with receipts. So basically Roxy drove 30 minutes for this stupid guy. He was a real jerk. It made me angry but it all ended up being ok. Jon's mom and dad are here today and he comes tomorrow.

Day 31 - February 10, 2009

This is the actual happenings of February 10, 2009 haha. I had to wake up early, dress in business attire, and go to class. At least the teacher makes the class interesting. We will learn to write a resume and business cards and stuff like that. After class I went to Magic Kingdom to meet up with my friend Holly (Michigan) from work and her roommates. I met them by the Jungle Cruise and we went to Splash Mountain and got COMPLETELY SOAKED. We were wet for the entire rest of the day. It was fun though. I got my picture with Captain Hook and Mr. Smead. That was fun. Me, Tina(Illinois), and Katie (Michigan) rode the Tea Cups :). I really like the tea cups for some reason. We also rode Snow White's Scary Adventures which usually has an hour plus wait b/c little babies can go on it, but we went during the parade and it took about 2 minutes. It was stupid, dont ever go on it. At least I can cross it off of my list. After all that we headed to Tomorrowland where we had an interaction with the talking trashcan!! It is this trash can that talks and has individualized conversations with you. It also moves around. It was really cute. It asked us where we were from and when I said Mississippi, he asked if I could spell Mississippi and I said yes. So I started spelling it and when I got to the i-p-p-i part he started laughing and said "OOOOOHHHHHH you said pp you are going to get in trouble!!" Holly was recording him on her camera and he turned to her and said "Are you a papparazzi? I think you look more like a mammarazzi! hahahah." It was very cute. Katie from New Hampshire works at Space Mountain so we went on that and didnt have to wait in line, which I think is kind of rude but oh well. It was fun anyways. The last part of the day we went to the Monster's Inc Laugh Floor which is an interactive comedy show on the screen. I got to be on the big screen haha. They just asked my name and where I was from. Then we went back to the car via the ferry and I rested for a bit. Later that night we went to see the movie "He's Just Not That Into You" and it was cute. After the movie I went to bed.

Day 30 - February 10, 2009

Today I had a morning shift. Wow. I worked from 11-7:30. It was AMAZING. I had a stocking shift again but it was ok because I got a Great Service Fanatic card for being enthusiastic :). It is basically the total opposite of a reprimand and it goes on my record and everything :). I'm proud of myself haha. After I got off of work, Roxy and I went to this burger place called Fuddrucker's. It was about to close so I got free fries and onion rings. After that I had to come back and do homework. During homework I got a headache so I went to sleep.

Day 29 - February 8, 2009

I woke up kinda late today...11ish..but then I realized how lovely it was outside, hurried to get ready, and caught the bus to Magic Kingdom to play a little while before I had to be at work at 2:45. There were alot of people at the park so I only got to go on Big Thunder Mountain and also I got to see Mickey's Philharmagic 3-d show thingy. It was really neat and I enjoyed it alot. Well I decided that I wanted a corn dog for lunch and that was a BAD idea. It made me sick. I barely made it to work on time. After I got to work it took about 2 hours to recover. But after I felt better work was fine. It was stocking again for 8 hours in ladies. Not so bad. I did however catch my hand on the metal part of a clippy hanger and hurt my hand :( it scratched it pretty bad and it hurts. Oh well. There was a very obnoxious loud girl on the bus home....I wanted to throw something at her.

Day 28 - February 7, 2009

I woke up relatively early today and went grocery shopping and then went to work. Before work I cooked myself some Chicken Curry from Jon's recipe. It was yummy! At work I did stock for Children's clothing and it was actually enjoyable. If I stay busy the entire time while stocking it is not too bad. I even got complimented by the big boss of the store Ray. That was exciting. He said I was doing a good job and was very enthusiastic. After I got home, which was at 9, early...I went with Roxy to Kevin's apartment where he had some people over to watch a movie. We watched Rockstar with Mark Wahlberg and ate icecream and cookies. My eye has been hurting lately...I was afraid it was pink eye but now I think it might be a stye. It doesnt look gross its just hurting.

Day 27 - February 6, 2009

Roxy and I woke up relatively early and went to Chicfila with Kevin. Then we went and cashed my paycheck and headed to Hollywood Studios! There we met up with Abby (Roxy's Dad's Boss' daughter haha) and Rex (real name Travis from Boston, Kevin's friend). We went on Rocknrollercoaster when it was just me Roxy and Kevin and because they thought Roxy and Kevin were boyfriend and girlfriend and they split them up in line, we got fast passes to go on it again! It was really funny. So Disney has these new buttons they give out if its your birthday, anniversary, just engaged, etc...well Kevin and Roxy got some birthday buttons and I made up names for them and they wore them around all day. Roxy was Veronica and Kevin was Lester. It was hilarious. People wouldnt talk to Kevin because they thought his name was Lester. Anyways they got happy birthday's all day and it was funny. The lines were pretty long today so we only got to do Rock'n'Rollercoaster 2 or 3 times and Tower of Terror twice. We did however go to the animation studios and did the little Animation Academy where they teach you to draw a character. We drew angry Minnie Mouse. At the end of the class the artist gives away his drawing to someone who answers a trivia question correctly AND I WON!! It was so exciting haha. I will definitely put it in my scrapbook. We also got to take a group picture with Frozone, the black guy from the incredibles and Yesnid....aka sorcerer Mickey. It was alot of fun before I had to work. I only had to work from 3 until 9 so that was nice. I did the register and handed out stickers once again. I also met a family who lives and Mississippi and the dad works in the engineering department.....crazy

Day 26 - February 5, 2009

Roxy and I woke up at like 10:30 this morning then got ready to go to Animal Kingdom with her safari friend Kevin. He is from Atlanta...Surprisingly down here, very few people are from the south. They are all from Michigan or New Jersey. It's kind of odd. Anyways we went to Animal Kingdom where we went on the safari and then rode Everest 5 times. I know I know...but when you are here for months, you can do that kind of stuff. By the time we did all of that and ate lunch, it was time for me to head over to Magic Kingdom and go to work. I had work at 3:30 until 9:30...got off early woohoo. Anyways I had fun at work. We were rather busy so I stayed entertained. 6 hour shifts are lovely. Now I am home and having some kind of allergy attack. Maybe I'm allergic to my apartment? Mail me things

Day 25 - February 4, 2009

Today I woke up kinda late. But thats okay because I had the day off. I met up with my friend Jai (a girl, pronounced Jay) and we went to Hollywood Studios. We rode Rock'n'rollercoaster 5 times haha. Im starting to really enjoy rollercoasters. We also rode Tower of Terror twice. So I've now been on it 3 times. It takes that many times before you can enjoy it I think. We also watched the Beauty and the Beast show. It was good, I remember it from when I was little. We didnt really do anything else but it was alot of fun. After all that I came back home and crashed for a little bit. I had a pulled muscle in my back all day, I'm assuming from riding Everest 7 times.....but it hurt alot so I came back home. Then Roxy got home and I took an actual nap for a little while. After our nap we went to Panera Bread for dinner. It was yummy :). Then we met up with some of Roxy's safari friends. We were supposed to go to Buffalo Wild Wings for karaoke, but we ended up riding the bus there, waiting in line for 10 minutes, then riding the bus back becuase the line was too long. So we pretty much just hung out with safari people for the evening and then came home and went to bed. It was a good day.

Day 24 - February 3, 2009

I had a total blast today. I had to wake up early for my 8 am class but the teacher was entertaining and I think I will learn a good bit, including how to write a resume so I'm pretty excited about that. So I got back to the apartment right after, ate some lunch, and decided that just because no one else was off of work, I wasnt going to waste the blue skies. So I got in my car and went on an adventure by myself. First I had to go by the hotels since Jon and his family is coming in 10 days. To get the discounted room rates, you have to go to the hotel 10 days before and show your company id. So I went by Jon's hotel first, Coronado Springs. Its a moderate value resort but man was I impressed. It's got like a Mexican vibe to it with bright colors and whatnot. It was very, very nice. So I showed my id there and then went down the road to Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is the most beautiful hotel I have ever seen in my entire life. It totally blew me away. Wow. I will definitely take pictures of both of the hotels when they get there. I know that the lobby's of hotels are usually nicer than the rooms, but I'm still optimistic. They should be great hotels and I got good deals on them. So after I got them discounted rooms, I went to the Animal Kingdom by myself. I had a ton of fun. I'm usually not one to go off by myself but it was great. I got to walk as slow as I wanted and take all the time I needed to look at the backwards knees of flamingos :). I went on the safari twice to try to get on Roxy's but it never worked out. The 2nd time I went on it I saw the lion and the lioness!!!!! It was SO cool and thats pretty rare! I've been on the safari probably 5 times now and I have only seen the lioness 1 time and never the lion. I was very excited. After the failed safari's haha, I went on the roller coaster Expedition Everest.........SEVEN TIMES!!!! I just got in the single rider line and didnt have to wait at all! It was so much fun, I didnt have anything else to do, and I enjoyed it. I learned the ride pretty well so I just took crazy pictures when I knew the cameras were coming up. It was great. After that roller coaster I decided to go on this Kali River Rapid's water ride. I was going to leave right after so I didnt care much that I would get wet and be cold. It was fun, there were barely any people on the ride and I walked right on. I didnt get too wet so it was alot of fun. I left right after and went home, crashed on the couch for a little while, then Roxy got home. She had an awesome day too. She met Joey Fatone from N'SYNC haha! Not that she is a fan of N'SYNC but its fun to be star struck haha. Apparently I JUST missed him. Oh well haha. So far we have heard that Rihanna and Beyonce have been in the parks. My roommate Courtney saw the back of Rihanna's head haha. Supposedly celebrity sightings are pretty common. We went to eat pizza last night then met up with a bunch of people to go see the movie Taken. I thought it was going to be stupid but it really picked up in the middle. It was hilarious though becuase all the boys we were with (about 5) were ALL on the edge of their seats, literally, with their heads in their hands. It was SO funny. It's a total boy movie but we had fun. As we were leaving the movies we saw the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile!!!!!! It was serioulsy the most fun I've had since I've been here. Roxy said it was her best day ever as well haha. Hopefully those days are more frequent :)

Day 23 - February 2, 2009

So i think i messed up on my headings....this is what actually happened on February 2, 2009. I slept in really late because I kept being woken up in the middle of the night. So once I had eaten lunch and watched a little tv, it was time to catch the bus. Work was much better today thankfully. We had some kind of meeting thing where I got free ringpops, candy necklaces, a mouse pad, some nice pens, some paper, and some crummy windchime thingy. It got me out of work for about an hour and a half so that was nice. Oh and I won a car decal thingy! But then I went back to work where I got to hand out stickers! and check people out on the register. I got home at about 10 (EARLY!!!) and me, Roxy, and Brittany went to the bookstore and to Taco Bell....I didnt get a book but thats ok. We watched a little tv, then I realized I have class at 8 am and needed to sleep.

Day 22 - February 2, 2009

So I was in a pretty bad mood about having to do stock. Apparently while here we will go thru phases. At first you are so excited to be here and love your job (phase 1). Then you realize that you only work at night and hate your job (phase 2). Hopefully I will get to phase 3 soon (accepting your job and learning to love it). Anyways I didnt work today which was good because I needed a mental health day haha. I'm being overdramatic but thats ok its my blog. So basically I did nothing but relax and watch tv all day....and sleep, I felt crummy from sinuses. By the end of the day when Roxy got home, we went to a superbowl gathering that had lots of free food. It was fun. Met a few people and didnt really watch the game because I could care less about the Steelers or the Cardinals. I honestly had no idea who was playing until a day before....I'm in a Disney bubble. After the game was over we rushed home to watch the new episode of the Office. We got home and realized Maggie was asleep on the couch so we turned on the television and muted it really fast, found the channel and sat really close to the tv and had the volume on 4. It worked haha. Then we went to sleep.

Day 21 - January 31, 2009

Blah. I had to work today and I was supposed to be on the register but found out when I got there that I would be doing stock. I loathe stock. It puts me in a terrible mood.

Day 20 - January 30, 2009

Today Roxy and I cleaned our room haha. We also cleaned the entire apartment, including the refrigerator. We also went grocery shopping. After all that we went to play at Epcot. We did Misson:Space and it was intense. They have 2 versions of it...1 that is intense and 1 that isnt. We did the intense 1. Supposedly you feel g forces during take off. I actually felt the skin peeling back from my face...odd feeling. It was fun though. It takes a few minutes to be able to walk and function normally again. Then we went to The Seas with Nemo and Friends. It used to be the living seas but I guess they changed it to get more people to go. The Nemo part was really kiddy and rather gay...but just the regular aquarium part was cool. I want to eat at the restaurant where you can look at the aquarium while eating fish haha. Anyways then we went on TestTrack. Thats the ride where they take you through all these tests cars go on before they are road ready. It was fun. I remember it from when I was little. Its not really a thrill ride but its alot of fun. Thats pretty much all we did at Epcot, we didnt stay long. Then we went home and did nothing for the rest of the evening.

Day 19 - January 29, 2009

I slept until 10:30 and it was wonderful. Then we got ready and went to Magic Kingdom to pick up my paycheck and then to Animal Kingdom to play. It was me and Roxy. We went on the rollercoaster Expedition Everest and it was alot of fun. We also saw the show its tough to be a bug and it was really funny. Then we ate lunch somewhere in Asia. It was very good fast food. Then we went on the Safari and saw a TON of animals! It was so exciting! There was an awake lion! Thats rare since lions sleep 20 hours of the day. We saw 3 cheetas and several giraffes (including a cute baby one). We also saw some hippos and a family of elephants :). After the safari, it started to rain.....hard....but we walked all the way across the park to ride this stupid Dinosaur ride. We were drenched by the time we left.

Day 18 - January 28, 2009

I didnt have work until 4:45 today so I went to Magic Kingdom with Maggie and Courtney, 2 of my roommates. I got to go on Splash Mountain for the first time! It was fun. We also went on Big Thunder Mountain, The Haunted Mansion, went to the Tiki Room, rode Pirates of the Carribbean, Space Mountain, went to the Laugh Factory, then they left me :(. I still had like an hour and a half to kill. So I watched the new parade. I had fun. Before the roommates left me Courtney and I got turkey legs......the ones disney is famous for......it was huge, tasted good, but it grossed me out....I threw most of it away. Oh well. Later I got a mickey mouse ice cream bar! yum! After they left I just walked around a bit by myself then went to work. I brought my clothes with me but I forgot my tie! I was freaking out b/c i didnt have time to go to costuming and get back on time. Luckily you can check them out in the office of the Emporium (phew). So all was good. I did my regular (give out stickers and check people out). Then I got of at 10:30, came home and went to bed.

Day 16 - January 27, 2009

I only worked from 2-8:15 today. It was great. I got home about 9. Then we (all my roommates) went to eat at the house of blues. Nothing exciting happened, just food. Sorry this day was boring.

Day 15 - January 26, 2009

Today was a fairly long day. I didnt start work until 3:45 and I got off at 11:30. It didnt go by achingly slow, mainly because I handed out a bazillion stickers. It was really weird though. I was asking people all day long where they were from, like I normally do, and they were all either from Canada or Michigan. It was odd. Ok I did meet 1 family from Ohio, but thats practically Michigan. It was some weird Canada/Michigan phenomenon. Well thats about all I have to say about that. I went straight to sleep since I got back after midnight.

Day 14 - January 25, 2009

6 hour shifts FLY BY! I got to work on the register and hand out stickers to little kids. I LOVE HANDING OUT STICKERS! It is alot of fun. Most kids get so excited by a little sticker with Mickey Mouse on it. It is my favorite past time at work these days. Also, I am a baby magnet. I dont know why, but its like babies are drawn to me. Which is fine by me, I like babies. There was this super cute little Hawaiian baby boy with curly hair that was just at walking age. I bent down to give him a sticker and he started walking to me. Then I put the sticker on his jacket and he took it off and put it on my shirt. So I gave him another sticker and he did the same thing...2 more times. He was precious. Then he gave me a hug. It made the day just a little brighter. After work, Roxy and I went to this Irish Pub for dinner at Downtown Disney. It was pretty good. I got Shepards Pie yum. Then we went home and went to bed :)

Day 13 - January 24, 2009

A DAY OFF TO PLAY IN THE PARKS!!! So we woke up relatively early this morning and went to Hollywood Studios. They are doing a soft opening for this show called the American Idol Experience where guests can go audition for American Idol in the morning then compete all day, weeding people out until 1 person wins the entire thing. The prize is a dream pass which means they can go to the front of the line at any american idol audition anywhere. Anyways...cast members may participate now, but they cannot participate after tomorrow. So Roxy wanted to try it out. She made it thru 2 rounds then got eliminated. It was really cool. She got this really cool fake trophy thingy that looks like a microphone. Anyways, that took up the morning then we went and saw Indiana Jones stunt show AND GOT TO BE EXTRAS!!! We stood up and waved our arms like crazy people until we got picked. It was alot of fun! Then we went and saw the Little Mermaid Show. It was pretty good but the Ariel wasnt all that great. After that we went and saw the Lights, Motors, Action car stunt show. It was also really cool. After all that we went on Rock'n'rollercoaster. That ride is so much fun. We then got on a bus and went to Epcot for dinner. So who knew that Alfredo's in Italy closed? Not me.....its this other Italian place that is pretty good, just as expensive, with half the amount of food. So while my pumpkin ravioli (weird i know) was quite tasty, i got 4 of them....yes only 4. So needless to say I spent $30 for 8 or 9 bites, a happy plate, and a not full stomach. Now we are home, and I'm going to bed early. I only have a 6 hour shift tomorrow!!!! Yahoo!!!

Day 12 - January 23, 2009

I didnt really do anything at all today except work. Work 8 hours. Work from 2:45 to 11:15 :(. Thats ok I get paid on Thursday. I did stock again today. I loathe stock. The hours do not go quickly when your section is fully stocked to begin with. There is in turn nothing to do. The hats that needed to be stocked, we were out of. Very frustrating. I basically walked around for 8 hours putting ink tags on any hat that didnt have one. Then I went home, Roxy waxed my eyebrows. It did not hurt at all and she did a very good job haha. Then I read some of my book (the new Sophie Kinsella novel Remember Me? It is very funny and i'm enjoying it. Then I went to sleep so I could wake up early and go play at Hollywood Studios (MGM).

Day 11 - January 22, 2009

A DAY OFF!!!!! FINALLY!!! PAY DAY!!! So needless to say today was a good day. I met up with my new friend Holly and her roommate Katie (also from Michigan) and we went to the Magic Kingdom for a few hours before Holly had work. It was alot of fun. We went to Pirates of the Caribbean and also on the Jungle Cruise. Both were lots of fun. They added Johnny Depp to Pirates and it was really funny. He is hidden in random scenes then is in a final scene. It was really cool. The Jungle Cruise was really funny. Our guide was hilarious. And he was from St. Olaf, MN like Rose from the Golden Girls haha. After that we ate lunch somewhere random and I ate a salad. Because you wanted to know that I'm sure. Anyways we looked in a couple shops and I got Jon these to glasses with Mickey etched on them (2 for $8!!!). Then Holly had to go to work so Katie and I waited for the parade, watched it, then left. Then I went to Publix and cashed my paycheck! Whoohoo! Now we are about to go to Downtown Disney to eat and maybe go see a movie. I have to work tomorrow from 2:45-11:15, then i'm off on Saturday!

Day 10 - January 21, 2009

So I went to work in a really bad mood yesterday but it ended up better. I dont know why stocking key chains put me in a good mood, but it did. I think it was the fact that I knew after my shift I would be OFF!! Yahoo! I made a friend at work. Her name is Holly and she is from Michigan. She's really nice and she's been here a week longer than me. Nothing happened today but walking back and forth from the stockroom to the floor with a basket full of magnets and keychains. Exciting

Day 9 - January 20, 2009

Im getting really tired of working all the time and not getting a day off. My day off isnt until Thursday. We are supposed to get 2 consecutive days off.....but of course I'm lucky and don't. I get Thursday and Saturday off. Im getting really frustrated. My other roommates have had 2, even 3 days off already. And I know I will get paid more, but i'm tired. I worked my first day that wasnt training today. I worked from 3:00 to 10:30. Did you know that snowglobes are filled with vinegar, not water? I had the pleasure of finding this out yesterday when I was cleaning up abroken one and ended up smelling like vinegar for the rest of the day. My feet hurt when I got off and I had to wait for the bus in the cold. Yesterday was not a good day.

Day 8 - January 19, 2009

Sorry guys but today was boring. I went to work at 10:30 and got done at 5:30. We had to do alot of computer classes online that were really boring. Learning about OSHA and whatnot. Stuff they are required to tell us. We did get to work on the registers today though, only a little. We had something called a Leader Engagement. They call managers Leaders for some reason. Anyways we were supposed to meet with Ray, but once again Lindsay and I were stood up haha. We met with another leader named Lisa. She was really nice. She was just making sure we understood everything and asked if we had any questions and stuff like that. Anyways after work I came home and changed and then went with Roxy to find new boots for her safari. She got some Timberlands at the Timerland store in this HUGE open air mall thats not very far away at all. After that we ate at Carrabba's italian place and then I came home and went to bed early. Disney World is exhausting!

Day 7 - January 18, 2009

Well the day started off interestingly. I got to the bus stop early, BUT it was practically full when it got to our apartment complex! I was about to freak out because if I waited for the next bus, I would be late. The bus driver talked to his manager and they said 5 more people could stand. So I jetted to the front of the line and made absolute sure I was one of the 5. That was nerve racking haha. I did get there on time although I would find out it wouldnt have mattered anyways. I had another day of training this day. We were supposed to meet our trainer at 8:00 in front of the Learning Center in the Magic Kingdom tunnel....They are usually there waiting on us..not this day. Luckily I brought my training schedule that had a number we could call. (We is me and this girl Lindsay from the University of Hawaii that I've been training with.) Anyways we called the number and they said they would send someone. That was at about 8:05. After 8:30 no one had come for us, so I called again. Finally someone came and we met up with our training. We just did some training stuff on the register most of the day. We did ring up actual people though. Not just pretend scenarios on the fake register. The store is huge and always busy. It takes up 2 blocks of Main Street. It is going to be hard remembering where everything is located. Nothing exciting happened at work. After I got on one bus, changed buses and got home, Courtney and I decided we wanted to go to the Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom opened in 1998 and we went fall of 1997 I figured out, so I had never been. It is SO different from any of the other parks. There is so much foliage it is lush and beautiful. Well we didnt get there till about 4:45 and we saw a sign that said the last safari went out at 5. Needless to say we ran to get to the safari, but so was everyone else. We made it right before 5 and got in line! It was alot of fun. We saw both of the cheetas, some warthogs, alot of birds, some antelope and I cant remember what else. The best time to see the most animals is in the mornings. Especially the lions since they are inactive about 20 hours of the day and are night hunters. The ride is about 18 minutes long and its really cool. It really doesnt look like Florida. After the safari was over we started walking out of the park to go to Epcot to eat, but we turned the wrong way and ended up meeting Baloo from the Jungle Book, Donald Duck, and Goofy. The line for Mickey was too long and we were in a hurry haha. I love taking pictures with the characters, I dont really know why. I still really want to meet Pinocchio. Anyways after we got on the bus we went to Epcot and met Roxy. We tried to eat in Italy, the UK, France, Japan....pretty much anywhere..but we forgot there was the national cheerleading competition at the Wide World of Sports so there were a TON of people around. We ended up having to eat the Japanese Fast Food. It was good though. Or maybe we were so hungry it was good. We went back to the UK and I found a Claddagh ring like the one Mama brought back from Europe for us. Mine is too small now and i've always wanted another one. It was suprisingly cheap too. I also got some really cute Celtic Cross Earrings. Grand total for both was only $13. We are getting at 50% discount on merchandise until February 12th! After we left the store we listened to a Beatles tribute band in a courtyard of the UK. Epcot is so stereotypical but thats what makes it fun. After that we got on the bus, went home, and went to sleep.

Day 6 - January 17, 2009

Today I had to wake up before 6. When I got to Disney University...someone had given them my lost folder. So I got mad and cleaned up my room for nothing haha. The room wasnt really dirty just a few things lying around. Today we took like a tour of Magic Kingdom. We also got to ride Haunted Mansion (my 3rd time in 24 hours) and the Buzz Lightyear thing where you shoot aliens. It was pretty fun. It is SOOO cold. Well its like 63 for the high but it feels WAY colder. We had to walk around all day in it. At least I got off at about noon. When I got home I fixed some lunch and took a nap. It was glorious. Later that afternoon Roxy and I headed to Downtown Disney. We ate at Planet Hollywood and it was horrible. Roxy sent hers back. I didnt know my dinner was bad until about 10 minutes after we left. We didnt stay there too long. We had to go to Walmart though so Roxy could buy her hiking boots haha. I bought Wedding Crashers and because it was rated R the woman asked how old I was but I couldnt understand her. So she asked me again in a ruder tone. I said 'Oh i'm 20, why?'. And she said, also rudely, may I see your ID? She looked at it for a LONG time....she didnt believe me. It was ridiculous. Anyways now I'm going to bed.

Day 5 - January 16, 2009

Gotta think back a little bit haha. Umm yesterday my day started at like 8am. Everything is running together but I remember. We did something called Merchantainment. It was basic cashier training.....which means I was extremely bored....all day...then we did stupid classes on the computer about safety stuff. But after that was over I got on the bus and came home to rest. That was nice but short lived. After Roxy got home, we went to the Magic Kingdom. It was alot of fun. We rode the Tea Cups, It's a Small World, Space Mountain, and Haunted Mansion (twice). The wait for Big Thunder Mountain was WAY too long so we didnt get to go on that. Splash Mountain is closed this week. I MET MICKEY AND MINNIE MOUSE!! We waited in the line at ToonTown to meet them. I think I am Mickey Mouse height :(. I wish they would have told us the height requirements to start off with b/c i would have tried out. Oh well. I think my job will be fun. We got to see most of the fireworks at the castle, but we were trying to hurry to Epcot.. It was all in vain however because of Extra Magic Hours......Only resort guests can go to parks during extra magic hours. We didnt know that. So we rode the monorail for nothing. We could have made it home by the time we got to Epcot and found out we couldnt go eat in Italy :(. So I was pretty angry when we got back only to get more upset. I couldnt find my folder with all of my info in it such as my schedule and what to wear what days and stuff like that. Then I knocked over an entire glass of water on the carpet. Ughh. And I was mad b/c i had to wake up before 6 am. But I went to sleep anyways.....

Day 4 - January 15, 2009

I had to report to the Magic Kingdom costuming center this morning at 10:30. That means I had to be at the bus stop at about 9:15 to catch the 9:29 bus. It wasnt so bad but I got there early :(. After we got there and it was time to start, we clocked in and met with our trainers. We had to try on our costumes. Mine isnt so bad. Its based on outfits from the 1900's or so. Its a long brown and turquoise skirt and a cream colored blouse. Oh I'm working at the Emporium which is on Main Street. Did I mention that it is the busiest place at Disney World? I shouldnt be bored haha. But anyways after we got the costumes we went to the underground tunnel under Magic Kingdom. Its not glamourous but still very cool, but very confusing. We got lockers in the locker room and then another locker closer to the Emporium. We had to do some online class video things for a while then we just met with people and took a tour of Main Street and the Emporium and all the stock rooms (there are alot of them). But that was basically my day. I caught the bus home and it took about an hour to get on 1 bus, get off, wait for the other bus, get on, make a stop, then finally make it home. I'm really tired and am glad to have nothing to do this evening. I work tomorrow from 8 until 2 so Ill probably go to a park.

Day 3 - January 14, 2008

Sorry I didnt update yesterday..by the time I got home I was exhausted! So the day started with me waking up at 6 am and then going to a 4 hour really really boring meeting/class/traditions thingy that we didnt get out of until noon. I read something out loud and got a "critter" which is a plastic toy thing. I got Donald Duck :). So after that was over I came back to the apartment and ate a sandwhich then I attempted to go to another apartment complex to meet this girl Deanna. Well I wasnt aware that the buses come from those complexes to ours......so I ended up at Hollywood Studios (new name for MGM) by myself haha. I made 2 friends exiting the bus. 1 was named Kristin from Michigan and the other was Melanie from Knoxville. So we walked around a bit and decided to go to Rock'n'roller coaster :). We got right in because there are NO lines in January. But when we were about to get on the ride it broke down :(. They gave us fast passes to come back though. Meanwhile Deanna is on a bus trying to find me haha. We went on the Great Movie Ride which was really cool. It was like a mix between a show and a ride. We didnt go fast but it was entertaining. After that was over I met up with Deanna and we used our fast passes to ride Rock'n'Roller coaster while Deanna waited. It was SOOOO much fun. I didnt scream I just smiled. It went 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. Alot of fun. After that was over somehow I lost the other 2 girls but me and Deanna went to ride Tower of Terror. I was terrified but it was fun. Not as bad as I thought it would be. After all of that we rode the boat to Epcot and went to the world showcase. Right after we got thru the front gate we saw Mary Poppins in England. I was SO excited. More excited than some children haha. That was my favorite movie when I was little. Well after we got our pictures taken Mary Poppins told us that Princess Jasmine was in Morrocco. So on the way to Morrocco we saw Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) who Deanna is apparently obsessed with. So we saw her in France. Then we were still walking and saw Belle and the Beast but the line was closed :(. We kept walking and then found Jasmine and the Genie! We got our pics taken and it was alot of fun. So I'm taking this little rubber duckie around like the roaming gnome and Jasmine and the Genie asked about it. Well the Genie takes it and pretends like he is going to throw it. Then he puts his arm around me and started walking away. It was weird but really funny. Then of course I got my picture taken and we walked on. We went back to France and got to get a picture with Belle and the Beast this time (their break was over). We tried to make it to China to see Mulan but it was all the way on the other side and we just missed her. We saw some Chinese acrobats though and that was really cool. We went in the souvinere shop in China and I got a red Buddah haha. It was cheap and cute. After that we went to Mexico and thats where we met Roxy, Abby, Jay (a girl), and our roommate from Jersey, Courtney. We went on the little ride that shows a little about the country and that was cool. It was a little boat ride very similar to It's a Small World. Then we ate dinner. The restaurant was really cool. I got Duck Tacos! I had never tried duck but they were really yummy. Roxy got lamb on top of mashed potatoes and mashed beets. It was really yummy too (she let me taste haha). After dinner we went on the ride in Norway which was also a boat ride, but alot cooler than Mexicos. It actually had some drops and it was very dark and kind of eerie. We all liked it. After that we watched the Illumintaions firework show at Epcot. Very cool! Then we left. The bus stop back to the apartment was crazy! All the Europeans are NOT afraid to push you haha. We didnt get on the first or 2nd bus. We had to wait for the 3rd but it wasnt horrible. When we got home I was pooped. Thus why I didnt post. Of by the way...there is a cold snap in Florida right now....it hasnt been above 65 which is good in the afternoon but very chilly in the morning.

Later...Day 2 - January 13, 2009

We have now officially gotten lost in Orlando. We went to target to get some essentials (food). It was easy enough to get there.....getting back was another story. Its a good thing we both have GPS. Anyways we met a girl today that is Roxy's dad's boss's daughter (wheew). Anyways her name is Abby and she goes to Belhaven. She is really nice. We went to Target and dinner with her. We went to dinner at PF Changs and it was really good. I wasnt terribly hungry so I got the yummy lettuce wrap appetizer for my meal. It was yummy and cheap haha. I have now realized that Disney is expensive all the way around. Good thing we get discounts tomorrow :). I get to go into the parks tomorrow! I'm so excited. I have this 'Traditions' class tomorrow morning. I have to be ready to get on the bus at 6:55 am......Roxy's isnt until 12:30 or something like that. I'm going to have to make a friend in the morning so that I can have someone to go out into the parks with. Roxy will meet me later when she is finished. It should be really fun. I'm going to bed soon so there should be an interesting post tomorrow.

Day 2- January 13, 2009

Today we found out where we will be working.  I will be working at the Magic Kingdom on Main Street at some of the shops.  Dont know which specific shops yet but it should be entertaining and very busy.   I have decided to take 2 classes that Disney offers while we are here.  One is called Marketing You which I can receive credit for at State when its through.  It teaches how to market yourself so that should be very useful.  The other one is a marketing lecture about how Disney markets itself.  Its just a lecture series not an actual class but still a good opportunity and it should look good on my resume.  These classes don't start until February though so I wont know much until then.   Roxy also got a really cool job.  She is going to be working on the Safari at the Animal Kingdom so that should be really interesting.  Lots of memorizing and waking up early for her we think.  I really hope I dont have to work late hours.  In just a few minutes we are going to go to Walmart and pick up some food stuffs and random things like a soap dish and 3m hooks and whatnot.  Should be fun.

Day 1- January 12, 2009

So I typed this really elaborate post and the internet stopped working...so this one wont be as good.  We woke up at 6 am and left our lovely La Quinta Inn in Gainesville at 7 and arrived in Orlando just before 9am which was check in time.  We stood in line for like 2 hours filling out stuff, getting an apartment, and getting our fingerprints scanned for a background check.  After all that was done we came to our apartment and were surprised how big it was.  We are in a 3 bedroom 6 person apartment.  The bedroom has ugly carpet but its alot bigger than we expected.  1 roommate is from New Jersey, 1 from Miami, and 2 from Kansas City.  The girl from New Jersey is really nice, the other 3 may take some time haha.  Nothing terrible however.  We had to take a nap this afternoon because we only got like 5 hours of sleep last night.  It was kind of hard to nap though because people were talking really loudly.  Anyways, after we unpacked we got ready and went to eat at the Rainforrest Cafe in Downtown Disney.  It was really cool.  We walked around for a long time and took a couple of pictures then decided to go see a movie.  We saw 'Bride Wars' which I had seen this weekend, but went again because Roxy wanted to and I thought it was funny.  The theater was SO nice.  Very big and very very nice.  But now I'm really tired.  Goodnight
